A Special Tribute To Trisha
The evening turned memorable with a tribute video showcasing Trisha’s long and illustrious career before she took the stage to reflect on her journey. Sharing gratitude with the audience, she remembered her co-stars and the years that shaped her legacy.
Trisha’s Wish For Vijay
The loudest cheer of the night came when Trisha spoke about her association with Vijay, one of her most iconic on-screen partners. She said, “I would like to tell him good luck on his new journey. Whatever he dreams, may they come true because he deserves it.” The hall erupted, celebrating a duo that once defined Tamil cinema’s golden years.

Trisha also recalled her work with Ajith Kumar, praising his humility and grace. “I’ve worked with him and noticed that he’s so kind and loving. I’ve never seen him have a mood swing; he respects everyone, from lightmen to technicians and fellow actors. His kindness is incredible,” she said.
The Legacy Of Vijay–Trisha
Over the years, Vijay and Trisha have remained one of Tamil cinema’s most-loved on-screen duos. Their crackling chemistry in hits like Ghilli (2004), Thirupaachi (2005), Aathi (2006), and Kuruvi (2008) had fans hooked. But after Kuruvi, the two suddenly stopped working together—fueling gossip that their closeness during Ghilli had turned into something more. Rumours even did the rounds that Vijay’s family had asked him to keep his distance from Trisha post-Kuruvi. Both stars, however, denied any romance, insisting they were “just friends.”
Fast forward 15 years, Trisha and Vijay reunited on screen for Leo (2023), sending fans into a frenzy.
Thalapathy Vijay has long been married to Sangeetha Sornalingam. The couple tied the knot in 1999 and are proud parents to two children—Jason Sanjay and Divya Saasha. Despite his superstar status, Vijay has always preferred to keep his personal life firmly out of the spotlight.
