The Ba***ds Of Bollywood Trailer: Aryan Khan makes his directorial debut with the Netflix show, and fans finally have a longer glimpse of what’s in store for them on September 18. Aryan Khan’s show included cheeky nods to the real-life moments that actors often face, including the recreation of Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi’s ‘nepotism’ talk.
Lakshya plays an ‘outsider’ in Bollywood who is witnessing a meteoric rise. Sahher Bambba plays the daughter of a star kid, trying to make it big in Bollywood. In the trailer, both characters appear on a round-table interview panel and discuss their struggles. Have a look here:
Sahher’s character says, “Living in someone’s shadow is a struggle in itself.” Lakshya’s character replies, “Main sirf itna keh raha hoon ki papa ki parchai se niklo, maalum padega kitni dhoop hai bahaar.” The next shot features both characters shooting for a film together.
This scene is a cheeky recreation of Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi’s discussion on nepotism. During a panel discussion, Ananya shared her definition of struggle and take on nepotism, and said, “I have always wanted to be an actor. Just because my dad has been an actor, I will never say no to an opportunity to act.”
“My dad has never been in a Dharma film; he never went on ‘Koffee With Karan’. So, it’s not as easy as people say. Everyone has their own journey and their own struggle,” she said. Siddhant gave a reply which went viral on social media. He said, “Jahaan humaare sapne poore hote hai, waha inke struggle shuru hote hai.” The two later went on to star in Kho Gaye Hum Kahaan, which is among Ananya Panday’s best works.
Meanwhile, for die-hard Bollywood buffs, The Ba**ds of Bollywood promises the ultimate dream: a once-in-a-lifetime cameo coup with all three Khans appearing together on screen. Alongside, a glittering parade of names — Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, SS Rajamouli, Badshah, Disha Patani, and more. The show will be out on Netflix on September 18 this year.
