Sanjay Dutt opened up about his brutal yet emotional role in Baaghi 4, revealing the script moved him like Vaastav did.
After the success of three blockbuster installments, Tiger Shroff is back as Ronnie in Baaghi 4, the latest chapter in Sajid Nadiadwala’s action franchise. Directed by A. Harsha, the film has already earned the tag of being the most violent and high-octane entry in the series, with Tiger going head-to-head against none other than Sanjay Dutt. Alongside them, Sonam Bajwa and Harnaz Sandhu take on pivotal roles in what promises to be a gripping mix of action and romance.
Sanjay Dutt On Why He Said Yes To Baaghi 4
In a chat with Pinkvilla, Sanjay Dutt opened up about what drew him to the film. The veteran actor revealed that the script struck a powerful chord with him.
“My character in Baaghi 4 is extremely intense and brutal, yet you will feel for him by the time you leave the theatre,” he said. “When I first heard the script, it moved me in a way I had not felt since Vaastav—it’s been a long time since I experienced that.”
Preparing Like A Newcomer
Dutt also shared that he had to push himself both physically and emotionally to inhabit the role. “For this role, I really pushed myself: I bulked up, went through rigorous training, and worked incredibly hard,” he explained. The actor admitted that working alongside Tiger Shroff’s youthful energy made him feel like he was starting afresh. “Honestly, Baaghi 4 made me feel like a newcomer on set again. Working with Sajid (Nadiadwala) always feels like coming back to home.”
A High-Stakes Showdown
With Tiger Shroff’s Ronnie squaring off against Dutt’s menacing character, Baaghi 4 blends large-scale action sequences with the emotional pull of an intense love story. The filmmakers promise an edge-of-the-seat cinematic experience that takes the franchise into new territory, balancing adrenaline with heart.

Hoping to strike gold at the box office once again, Sanjay Dutt signed off with optimism: “Baaghi 4 is going to be special for all of us. Hope the audiences enjoy the film.”
