Raveena Tandon bids farewell to Bappa.
Today, on the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi, India bid adieu to their beloved Ganpati Bappa, ending the 10-day-long Ganesh Utsav. On this special occasion, Raveena Tandon took to her Instagram and shared a heartwarming video of visiting the first-ever Ganpati ji Pandal, started by Shrimant Bhausahab Rangari ji.
The video featured the actress visiting the pandal, doing Ganpati aarti, and finally seeking blessings by applying kumkum. She was accompanied by her cute furry friend. In the clip, the actress was seen visiting the beautiful yet royal room carrying different weapons.
While sharing the video, the actress wrote, “Lucky to get the opportunity to visit the first ever Ganpati ji Pandal, that started by Shrimant Bhausahab Rangari ji, whom we owe a lot to. Our braveheart freedom fighters used to meet in this very house, beautifully restored by Shri @punitbalan ji, whom I’m very thankful to for inviting me for darshan. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 The house, now converted into a museum, was so fascinating to read the history behind the very origin of the Ganpati visarjan rituals and the reasons behind it.”
She further continued and concluded by writing, “So important for our children to visit these places and learn about the importance of our culture. A fruitful day with a very special guest who got blessed by Bappa — a devotee’s puppy, who got the teeka from me.”
Raveena Tandon On Work Front
Raveena Tandon made her big-screen comeback with the thriller Maatr and later appeared in the web show Aranyak. The show marked her foray into the OTT world and, given its success, the makers announced a sequel season. However, there hasn’t been any development.
In the same chat, Raveena also confirmed that the second season of Aranyak is officially not on the cards. “It’s not happening,” she said.
Raveena, in the last few years, has starred in KGF: Chapter 2 and the Sanjay Dutt starrer Ghudchadi, alongside other projects like Patna Shukla, Karmma Calling and Inn Galiyon Mein.
Raveena Tandon Returns to Tamil Cinema
The actress is all set to return to Tamil cinema after 24 years with Vijay Antony co-starrer Lawyer. While talking about the project, the actress, in a chat with Hindustan Times, shared, “I’m excited and nervous because I know I have to brush up my Tamil all over again.”
“I have always worked in the South industry, right from the beginning in ’92, because I always found their films intriguing. This is not what I’m saying now, you could pick up any of my interviews from the ’90s and I have said the same thing,” she added.
