Sandeep Reddy Vanga has finally shared fresh updates about Spirit, his upcoming cop drama starring Prabhas.

Prabhas fans have been eagerly awaiting updates on his next big collaboration with Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, titled Spirit. While the project has been shrouded in speculation, the filmmaker recently shared fresh details about the highly anticipated action drama, including its runtime, background score, and his experience working with the pan-India star.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga Talks About Spirit’s Runtime

During his recent appearance on Jagapathi Babu’s show Jayammu NischayammuRaa with Jagapathi, alongside Ram Gopal Varma, Vanga was asked about how long Spirit is expected to run. In a light-hearted response, he promised, “I’ll make sure the runtime doesn’t exceed 3 hours, sir.”

His comment was a tongue-in-cheek reference to his last release, Animal, which drew both love and criticism for its more-than-three-hour runtime. This time, the director hinted that he intends to keep things tighter without compromising the intensity that his films are known for.

BGM Completed Before Filming

Interestingly, Vanga revealed that he has already completed around 70% of the film’s background score, even before shooting begins. Drawing parallels with Animal, he explained how this approach helps him during production, “It’s easier to shoot a film when the BGM is already playing on set. We can instantly sense when to call for a cut. During Kabir Singh, I realised how much time can be saved if the music is ready in advance. With Animal, 80% of the BGM was done beforehand, and now for Spirit, we have 70% ready.”

According to Vanga, this method can save up to five to six days of production time.

On Working With Prabhas

The director also spoke warmly about collaborating with Prabhas, praising the superstar’s humility despite his massive stardom. “Prabhas is very transparent and very sweet to work with. Though he is a big star, he doesn’t flaunt it. We will start the shoot soon,” Vanga shared.

What Is Spirit About?

Spirit is touted to be a high-octane cop drama, with Prabhas playing a fierce police officer determined to dismantle an underworld syndicate. Triptii Dimri is reportedly cast as the female lead, promising fresh on-screen chemistry for fans.

Prabhas’ Upcoming Releases

Before Spirit, Prabhas is gearing up for the release of The Raja Saab, a horror comedy that follows the story of a carefree young man trying to make quick money by flipping an ancestral mansion—only to discover that it is haunted. Starring Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar, the film was initially slated for a December 5, 2025 release, but reports suggest it may now be pushed to Sankranti 2026.

With Spirit on the horizon and The Raja Saab waiting in the wings, Prabhas fans have plenty to look forward to as the superstar dives into diverse genres, from supernatural comedy to gritty action.
