Avneet Kaur surprised everyone earlier this year when she met Tom Cruise twice – first on the sets of Mission Impossible 8 and then on the film’s screening in London. While the pictures of the actress with the Hollywood star had gone viral on social media, Avneet has now said that it was a one-of-a-kind experience.
“I met him twice, and I can’t explain in words what the experience was,” Avneet told IANS and then added, “During the first time, he already knew about my Cannes appearance; it was surprising to me. The second time around we couldn’t speak much. But I can’t express in words what meeting him meant to me. It’s completely a once-in-a-lifetime event, and I still can’t believe that I got to meet Tom Cruise.”

In the photos, the two were seen twinning in black as they posed for the cameras. In one of the pictures that Avneet shared, she and Tom were seen standing with folded hands. In the caption of her post, Avneet Kaur wrote, “Namaste mere aur Mr Cruise ki taraf se poore India ko 🇮🇳🙏🏻❤️ Great to see you again @tomcruise 😍 @missionimpossible.”
Meanwhile, Avneet Kaur will soon be seen in Love In Vietnam. Helmed by Rahat Shah Kazmi, it also features Shanatanu Maheshwari in the lead role.
Backed by Omung Kumar, the film is based on the 1943 Turkish novel Madonna in a Fur Coat by Sabahattin Ali. It follows Shantanu and Avneet’s childhood love story that takes a turn when Maheshwari’s character travels to Vietnam, meets a new woman, played by Kha Ngan, and faces the pain of betrayal and separation. The film explores a passionate, cross-cultural romance unfolding between Punjab and Vietnam, highlighting themes of love, heartbreak, and the journey of two souls across distances.
Love In Vietnam is set to hit the big screens on September 12.
