Sanjay Leela Bhansali is once again proving that when it comes to scale, drama, and grandeur, nobody does it better. His much-awaited film Love & War, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, is currently in the middle of its massive production schedule, and the filmmaker is already planning its most spectacular chapter yet.
The project, which went on floors in November 2024, has already completed over 125 days of shooting. A large chunk has been filmed on sprawling sets in Mumbai, and while that continues until mid-October, Bhansali has something even more ambitious lined up.
Climax To Be Shot In Sicily
According to Pinkvilla, Bhansali will be taking the star trio to Sicily in the second half of October for the film’s climax. Known for his obsession with creating operatic finales, the director is planning to turn the Italian city into a canvas for his vision.
“It’s going to be a massive schedule,” a source revealed, adding that Bhansali intends to shoot across the city’s diverse landscapes. The climax, expected to be the dramatic high point of the narrative, will also reportedly feature a song filmed with Ranbir, Alia, and Vicky.
If history is anything to go by, audiences can expect heightened emotions, elaborate staging, and breathtaking visuals—Bhansali trademarks that never fail to draw viewers into his cinematic worlds.
Drama, Romance, And A March 2026 Release
The climax isn’t just spectacle for spectacle’s sake. It’s said to bring together the romantic core of Love & War while pushing the emotional arcs of its three leads to their limits. Bhansali is known for demanding powerhouse performances from his actors, and this schedule is expected to test Ranbir, Alia, and Vicky in equal measure.
The team will be stationed in Sicily for nearly a month before returning to complete the final leg of the shoot. With editing already happening in tandem with filming, the production remains on track.
