Kalyani Priyadarshan’s Lokah Chapter 1 is riding high at the box office, crossing the Rs 20 crore milestone on just its fourth day. The film’s mix of engaging storytelling and strong performances has clearly struck a chord with audiences. The first female superhero film from Malayalam cinema, Lokah, is backed by Dulquer Salmaan and stars Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead. The box office collection has surpassed all other Onam releases.

According to the latest update from Sacnilk, Lokah Chapter 1 has breezed past the Rs 20 crore mark in just three days. Sunday proved to be a blockbuster for the film, raking in an estimated Rs 9.75 crore, its highest single-day collection so far. The movie had opened to Rs 2.7 crore on day one, followed by Rs 4 crore on day two and Rs 7 crore on day three, bringing the total collection to Rs 24.05 crore.
With Onam holidays coming up next week, Lokah Chapter 1 is expected to continue its strong run at the box office. In comparison, Mohanlal’s slice-of-life drama Hridayapoorvam had a slower Sunday, collecting Rs 3.2 crore, bringing its total collection to Rs 11.95 crore.

Lokah Chapter 1 marks the first installment in Dulquer Salmaan’s ambitious Wayfarer Cinematic Universe. The film stars Kalyani Priyadarshan as Chandra, a young woman who has recently returned to Bengaluru after spending 20 years in Sweden. Her mysterious evening outings catch the attention of Sunny (Naslen) and Venu (Chandu Salimkumar), two boys living across the street. The story unfolds as they gradually uncover Chandra’s past and that forms the crux.
Lokah Chapter 1 is written by Dominic Arun and Santhy Balachandran, with Dominic Arun also directing. The film’s music is composed by Jakes Bejoy, while Nimish Ravi takes charge of the cinematography. Fans are also thrilled by cameo appearances from Tovino Thomas and Dulquer Salmaan. Chandu Salimkumar, Nishanth Sagar, Raghunath Paleri, Vijayaraghavan, Nithya Shri and Sarath Sabha also star in it.
