Bhojpuri star Khesari Lal Yadav has come under fire after a viral video showed him flirting with a female fan on stage, saying “Jahan chahta hu, wahi pakad leta hu.”
The Bhojpuri film industry has once again landed in controversy. After Pawan Singh made headlines for allegedly touching co-star Anjali Raghav inappropriately during a promotional event in Lucknow, another video has now gone viral—this time featuring popular Bhojpuri star Khesari Lal Yadav.
In the clip, which is circulating widely on social media, Khesari is seen interacting with a female fan on stage. His comments, however, have left netizens furious. The actor is heard saying: “Yeh badi hai ke choti hai? Yeh choti hai, but iska kuch bhi chota nahi hai. Height dekho, baal dekho, bichari ka chehra bhi bada hai.” He then invites her for a hug, saying “Aao. Aahaa!” before adding, “Zindagi mile toh Khesari Lal Yadav jaisi. Jahan chahta hu, wahi pakad leta hu.”
The video has drawn sharp criticism online, with many users slamming the actor for what they called “cheap” and “disrespectful” behaviour. While the outrage grows, Khesari Lal Yadav has not yet released any official statement on the incident.

This controversy comes hot on the heels of another storm surrounding Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh. A video from an event in Lucknow showed Singh allegedly touching his co-star Anjali Raghav inappropriately, sparking widespread condemnation.
Following the backlash, Anjali took to social media to announce that she was quitting the Bhojpuri industry altogether. “I have decided I will not work in this industry anymore,” she declared.
Soon after, Pawan Singh issued a public apology on Instagram, “Anjali ji, vyasth schedule ke kaaran main aapka live dekh nahi paaya. Mujhe jab iss baat ki jaankari huyi, toh mujhe bura laga. Mera aapke prati koi bhi ghalat intention nahi tha kyuki humlog kalakaar hai. Iske bawajood, agar aapko humari kisi bhi vyawahaar se takleef hui ho toh uske liye main shama prarthi hoon (sic).”
Anjali accepted his apology with grace, writing: “Pawan Singh ji ne apni galti ki maafi mangli hai. Woh mujhse bade hai aur senior artist hai… maine unhe maaf kar diya hai. Main is baat ko aur aage nahi badhana chahti. Jai Shree Ram (sic).”
The Larger Debate
While Anjali has chosen to move past the incident, the back-to-back controversies involving two of Bhojpuri cinema’s biggest stars have reignited conversations about accountability, professionalism, and the treatment of women in the entertainment industry.
For now, fans and critics alike are waiting to see if Khesari Lal Yadav will respond to the criticism, or if the storm around his viral video will continue to grow.
