The cast of Kapil Sharma’s The Great Indian Kapil Show often makes jokes about each other’s appearance. They do not shy away from taking friendly jabs at one another, and now, Sunil Grover’s joke has caught everyone’s attention. In an episode featuring popular Indian entrepreneurs, Sunil Grover made a joke about bald people.
During the episode, Sunil Grover joked that bald people don’t need shampoo. However, he apologised for using the word ‘ganje’. When others encouraged him to continue, he said, “Haan, yeh kaunsa below the belt hai, yeh to above the collar hi hai.” He again made a joke about bald people but apologised for calling them bald. However, this scene from the show has been shared out of context on Reddit.
This moment has gone viral on Reddit. A user wrote, “I was just watching this episode and Sunil Grover goes, ‘Ganje log (says sorry to Kapil) ko shampoo ki kya zaroorat’ xDDD.” This post has caught everyone’s attention, with fans taking to the comments section to express their views. Some Redditors have misinterpreted this moment as Sunil taking a jibe at Kapil’s hair loss.
One person wrote, “I don’t see the show, but mum sees it while eating and we eat together, and I noticed this, the guy must have emphasised it like 3 times looking straight in Kapil’s eye, it looked like he was going off script XD.” Another wrote, “Sunil pange toh leta hai Kapil se 😂.”
A comment read, “Loving this season so much. Everyone is extremely funny, especially Sunil and Krushna 😂.” Another person wrote, “This season of Kapil Sharma’s show is slaying😬 and Sunil Grover is definitely doing very bluntly this time.”
Another user shared an old photo of Kapil with less hair and wrote, “I’m sure Kapil took it sportingly. If he was offended, he could’ve easily gotten the joke edited out. But he didn’t. If anyone has seen Kapil’s early-day shows, they’d know that Kapil back then had really thinning hair, especially at the front. He either got a hair transplant or wears piece extensions.”
“I thought I must have imagined those subtle reactions of Kapil and Ritesh when Sunil said that. I also thought maybe Sunil was just apologising for the use of the word ‘ganje’, which is rude as mentioned earlier in the script,” a comment read, rightly pointing out what happened in the scene.
