Belly starts fresh in Paris as The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 trailer teases self-discovery, new friends, and Conrad’s heartfelt letters.

Lola Tung as Belly in The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3, beginning a new journey in Paris.
Fans of The Summer I Turned Pretty were in for a surprise when Prime Video dropped a new trailer for Season 3 on August 29. Just days after Episode 8’s emotional ending, which saw Belly and Jeremiah call off their wedding, the teaser shifts the focus to Belly’s spontaneous new chapter in Paris. With only three episodes left in the season, the trailer promises fresh faces, heartfelt letters from Conrad, and a deeply personal journey for Belly.
Belly Begins A New Chapter In Paris
The trailer opens with Belly (Lola Tung) boarding a flight alone, still wearing the engagement ring Jeremiah gave her. She carries her wedding dress in her bag, underscoring the emotional weight of her decision. As she quietly removes the ring mid-flight, Belly’s reflective voiceover sets the tone: “I had these pillars in my life. Cousins. My family. Taylor. Jer. They made me feel like I was safe — like I was on solid ground. Now they’re gone. And it’s just me.”
Arriving in Paris, Belly begins navigating the city as a solo traveler, confronting loneliness while embracing a much-needed chance to redefine herself. A phone call from her mom Laurel reveals the spontaneity of the decision—Belly didn’t just run away from a wedding, she fled the country.
New Cast Members And Conrad’s Letters
Prime Video confirmed that Season 3 will introduce several new recurring characters, including Corinna Brown (Heartstopper), Fernando Cattori (Untamed Royals), Isaline Prevost Radeff (Haute Mer), and Jahz Armando (Gangs of London). These fresh faces become central to Belly’s Parisian adventures, offering her friendships and experiences outside the world of Cousins Beach.
But longtime fans of Jenny Han’s novels will be especially intrigued by another element teased in the trailer: letters from Conrad. While Belly is shown making new friends and sharing carefree moments in Paris, she also receives a letter that ties her back to Conrad Fisher (Christopher Briney). The handwritten note nods to Han’s We’ll Always Have Summer, where letters played a pivotal role in shaping Belly’s decisions.
A Journey Of Self-Discovery
As Ellie Goulding’s “Anything Could Happen” plays over the trailer, Belly is seen laughing with new friends, reuniting with Taylor, and meeting a mysterious “New Boy,” played by Cattori. At the same time, her voiceover underscores the season’s central theme: self-discovery. “I don’t even know who I am anymore,” she admits. “I need to find the person that I can be.”
With heartbreak, new beginnings, and only three episodes left, the stage is set for an emotional finish. Whether Belly chooses to return to Conrad, stay independent, or carve a new path entirely, the final arc promises to deliver on the show’s blend of romance and coming-of-age drama.
