Vandana Pathak, a powerhouse actress, made her return to television after a six-year hiatus with Tum Se Tum Tak. Over the years, the actress has proved her versatility across mediums and even today she continues to win hearts with her performance. She is currently playing the role of Gayatri Devi in the ZeeTV show.

Vandana, who is celebrated for seamlessly balancing both comedy and drama, shed light on how Indian television has taken a bold and positive step forward by embracing inclusivity.

Vanadana Pathak On The Evolving Face Of Indian Television

In an interview with The Times of India, Vandana spoke about the evolving face of Indian television. She shared, “Indian television is no longer restricting itself to one type of appearance. Whether it’s looks, body types, or personal style, inclusivity is happening, and it’s a welcome change.”

For Vandana, acting has always been about more than dialogue delivery.

It is about completely transforming and immersing oneself in the character. Referring to an anecdote from her past work experience, she shared, “For example, in my show Manmohini, the character of Dai Ma required a very specific appearance. I loved working on that and I truly enjoy transforming myself according to the character’s needs.”

Vanadana Pathak Praised Sharad Kelkar

During the same interview, Vandana also expressed his admiration for her Tumm Se Tumm Tak co-star Sharad Kelkar, who plays the role of his son Aryavardhan. She praised his dedication and balance on set. She said, “It’s absolutely lovely working with Sharad. I really admire actors who constantly work on themselves. Fun on set is important, but at the same time, seriousness towards the role matters and Sharad has that balance.”

Speaking about their on-screen chemistry that deeply resonates with viewers, she shared, “We’ve been receiving so many messages about the mother-son duo, and it feels amazing. Our off-screen comfort and rehearsal reflect beautifully on-screen, which makes the chemistry even more natural and impactful.”

Tumm Se Tumm Tak: Storyline and Cast

The show revolves around the unconventional romance between Anu (Niharika Chouksey), a free-spirited 19-year-old with big dreams and strong values, and Aryavardhan (Sharad Kelkar), a 46-year-old, ruthless yet charming business tycoon with a disciplined approach to life. As their worlds collide, their contrasting backgrounds and ages spark a complex and intriguing love story.

Produced by Prateek Sharma, Tumm Se Tumm Tak is the remake of Zee Marathi’s TV series Tula Pahate Re.
