Singer Enrique Iglesias and former tennis star Anna Kournikova are preparing to welcome their fourth child later this year, according to reports from Spanish magazine HOLA!. The news has been confirmed by what the publication describes as “highly reliable” sources, bringing joy to the couple, who have been together for more than two decades.
The pair are already parents to twins Lucy and Nicholas, who are seven, and daughter Mary, aged five. Sources told HOLA! that Kournikova is midway through her pregnancy and doing well. Her health had sparked concern earlier this year when photographs showed her in a wheelchair, but her mother-in-law, Isabel Preysler, reassured the outlet at the time: “It’s nothing serious, just a minor foot injury. It’s a small sprain, but you know how painful those can be.”
While speculation about the pregnancy began in the summer after Kournikova was spotted in Miami wearing oversized clothing, it is now confirmed that the family of five will soon become six. The baby will also mark the ninth grandchild for Iglesias’s mother, who is a well-known socialite in Spain.
Despite his global music career, Iglesias has often spoken about how family takes precedence in his life. Reflecting on fatherhood at the Los40 Music Awards Santander last year, he said, “I’m in a relaxing mood, at home, with the children, enjoying being able to take them to school, watching them grow… Every day that passes they grow very quickly and I want to enjoy it. In 24 hours they’ve already grown.”
The couple’s relationship began in 2001 when Kournikova appeared in Iglesias’s music video for Escape. They have since built a life together in Miami, where they reside in a sprawling waterfront mansion in the exclusive Bay Point neighbourhood, close to what is nicknamed “Billionaire’s Bunker.” The area counts Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Ivanka Trump Kushner, and retired NFL quarterback Tom Brady among its residents.
Iglesias and Kournikova bought their property in 2009 for $5 million and completed construction in 2013. The estate features seven bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a swimming pool, a tennis court, a private dock with boat access to Biscayne Bay, and an expansive cabana. It is estimated to be worth around $26 million today.
Although the couple have never married, they remain committed to raising their children together. In an earlier interview with The Sun, Iglesias expressed admiration for Kournikova’s devotion to motherhood, saying: “It’s incredible to watch her be such a great mother. It’s incredible to watch a mum do what she does, when a mother’s instinct kicks in.”
