Ahaan Panday’s debut film, Saiyaara, became a sensation upon its release. Recently, Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, said she wished that the film had starred her son, Yashvardhan. She also mentioned that Yashvardhan’s debut film will be better than Saiyaara. Sunita’s comment caught everyone’s attention and went viral. However, she has now clarified her remarks.
Sunita Ahuja told the media, “I didn’t say anything like that. I am very happy that Ahaan Panday has made a name for himself. I never said anything about him. I wish that all the kids of the film industry do well, and Ahaan, I am a big fan of yours, beta. I love you, and I love Yash Raj Films too much. I didn’t say anything because my son is also going to become a hero. Don’t spread these rumours.”
Previously, in a chat with Eat Travel Repeat, Sunita Ahuja reacted to fan comments on social media. One comment read, “Yashvardhan itna handsome hai. Saiyaara mein usse hi hona chahiye tha.” Sunita replied, “I wish. But usse better picture kar raha hai Yash.”
She added, “Maine abhi tak dekhi nahi hai. Yash ne do baar dekhi hai. Main dekhungi, mujhe dekhna hai. But abhi 14 tareek ko shayad aa raha hai naa Netflix pe (laughs). But good, good. Best of luck to all the kids who are coming up. And I want ki sab bachhe khoob naam kamaye.”
After a strong box office run, Saiyaara is now heading to OTT, with Netflix bagging the streaming rights. Starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the film surpassed expectations and is already being compared to the year’s biggest hit, Chhava. Although the exact release date on OTT has not been confirmed, it is anticipated to follow the trend of most Bollywood films and be available online within two months of its theatrical release.
Meanwhile, Sunita Ahuja recently grabbed everyone’s attention when it was reported that she had filed a divorce petition. A report by Hauterrfly claimed that Sunita Ahuja has filed a divorce petition against Govinda in Bandra Family Court, citing adultery, cruelty, and desertion under the Hindu Marriage Act of 1955. However, Govinda’s lawyer finally addressed the media and put all speculation to rest. The couple also addressed the media on Ganesh Chaturthi and clarified that they are not getting divorced.
