Ganesh Chaturthi 2025 was celebrated across India on August 27 with devotion and grandeur. Actress Mrunal Thakur also joined the celebrations as she welcomed Bappa home and shared glimpses of her joy on Instagram.
In the photos, Mrunal was seen carrying a beautifully adorned Ganpati idol wrapped in a saffron cloth as she stepped out of her car with a radiant smile. Dressed in a pastel pink embroidered ethnic outfit with silver detailing, she exuded festive elegance. The actress accessorised her look with statement earrings and a delicate nose ring, complementing her traditional attire.
Another photo captured her holding a plate full of freshly prepared modaks, the sweet delicacy considered Lord Ganesha’s favorite. With a wide smile and an expression of joy, Mrunal looked delighted as she posed with the festive offering. Her post perfectly reflected the warmth and spirit of Ganeshotsav.
Sharing the pictures, she wrote: “Bappa’s homeee✨ nothing feels more special than this. Every year when Bappa comes home, it feels like he brings a little extra light and peace with him. And um, sooo many modaks incoming hehe.”

On the professional front, Mrunal was last seen opposite Ajay Devgn in Son of Sardaar 2, directed by Vijay Kumar Arora. Despite its star-studded cast including Ravi Kishan, Kubbra Sait, and late actor Mukul Dev, the comedy entertainer failed to leave an impact at the box office after its release on August 1.
The actress now has an exciting lineup ahead. She will star opposite Adivi Sesh in the romantic action film Dacoit, scheduled for a Christmas 2025 release. Additionally, she will feature alongside Varun Dhawan and Pooja Hegde in the romantic comedy Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.
