Throwback to Bigg Boss 8 when Salman Khan lost his cool on Karishma Tanna. After a heated exchange, he stormed off stage, leaving contestants and viewers stunned.

Salman Khan has returned to the hosting duties with Bigg Boss 19, and over the years, he has given us a lot of memorable moments. But along with these memories, there were instances when he lost his calm on several occasions. While at times Salman getting pissed is quite normal, it was back in 2012 during Bigg Boss 8 when one Weekend Ka Vaar etched itself into every Bigg Boss viewer’s memory. Watching an angry Salman Khan walk off the stage was no plain sight.
It was during a Weekend Ka Vaar when Salman was making fun of Karishma Tanna, just like how he pulls the legs of participants every year. But it was Tanna’s reaction that left Salman disappointed, and in anger, he decided not to continue and walked off the stage, with the makers announcing a commercial break. When the episode began again, it was a tense atmosphere with everyone scared, sitting quietly and hoping Salman would cool down.
What was the joke?
At that time, the show’s contestants Puneet, Pritam, Praneet, and Gautam—jointly known as P3G—were having some issues, and Pritam and Praneet were lately seen drifting towards Karishma and Upen. Pritam, who was earlier seen as being under Puneet Issar’s shadow, was later said to have been strongly influenced by Karishma.
And while pulling his leg, Salman started teasing and indirectly linking him with Karishma. While back then Karishma Tanna was reportedly in a relationship with a model-actor, Pritam Singh was a married man with a son and a pregnant wife. The ‘joking around’ had not gone down well with the actress, and she began crying. When Pritam asked Karishma why she was crying, she replied that it was not funny to joke around all the time.
This left Salman severely upset, and the superstar told Karishma that Bigg Boss is an entertainment show and they were all having fun. If she wanted it to be a boring show, everyone could just sit back and do nothing.
Later, when Upen Patel jumped in to defend Karishma and tried to explain her side, Salman snapped, warning him not to argue or meddle. Clearly irked, the superstar lost his cool and, in a shocking moment, stormed off the stage, leaving everyone stunned.
However, Salman was eventually persuaded back to the dais, where a teary-eyed Karishma tried to explain her side. But Salman, unimpressed and visibly cold, didn’t seem to buy her explanations.

The new season comes with a politics-driven theme, with promos hinting that public opinion will influence how the game unfolds. The season features 18 contestants, whose names are still under wraps.
Bigg Boss 19 premieres on JioHotstar and Colors TV tonight, August 24. The digital-first season will reportedly be hosted by Salman Khan for the first three months. Afterwards, guest hosts like Farah Khan, Karan Johar, and Anil Kapoor may take over for the remaining period. This year, the show will release fresh episodes first on JioHotstar, followed by Colors TV telecast after approximately one and a half hours.
