Parineeti Chopra is pregnant with her first child, and she, along with her husband Raghav Chadha, is being flooded with best wishes from celebrities and fans alike. From new mom Kiara Advani to Sonam Kapoor and Neha Dhupia, Parineeti’s industry colleagues have been flooding social media with best wishes for the couple.
On Monday, August 25, Parineeti Chopra shared a set of two photos which spoke a thousand words. The first photo was that of a cake, with an icing that read: “1+1 = 3″, followed by a tiny baby feet. It was followed by a video of pregnant Parineeti, talking a walk in a park, holding husband Raghav Chadha’s hand. They made the announcement sans any caption. Take a look:
No sooner had the couple dropped the joint post, celebs took over the comment section to congratulate the couple. Sonam Kapoor, who is mother to 3-year-old Vayu, wrote, “Congratulations darling”. Huma Qureshi, Rakul Preet Singh, and Bhumi Pednekar congratulated them. Nimrat Kaur commented, “Stay blessed many many congratulations!!!” Mother to two kids, Neha Dhupia, wrote, “Congratulations… welcome to the best hood.” Kiara Advani, Janhvi Kapoor, and other celebs, ‘liked’ the post.
When Raghav Chadha hinted at ‘good news’ on Kapil Sharma’s show
Parineeti Chopra and her husband, politician Raghav Chadha, grace the couch on The Great Indian Kapil Show on August 2. In a light-hearted exchange with host Kapil Sharma, Raghav unexpectedly hinted at their plans to start a family – a revelation that left Parineeti visibly stunned.
During the episode, Kapil recalled a personal anecdote about how his mother skipped straight to “grandkid mode” the moment Parineeti entered their home, advising the newlyweds to either plan early or prepare for some family pressure. Seizing the moment, Raghav playfully said, “Denge, aapko denge… good news jaldi denge (We’ll give you good news soon)”, catching Parineeti off guard.
Her reaction, a mix of shock and suppressed laughter, left the audience in splits. Kapil, sensing the moment, teased further: “Good news aa raha hai kya? Laddu baantne lage kya?” (Is there good news? Are sweets being distributed yet?). To this, Raghav chuckled and added with a sly smile, “Denge… at some point.”
