Earlier this year, Gaurav Khanna quit the popular show Anupamaa to participate in Colors TV’s Celebrity MasterChef, where he went on to emerge as the winner. Now, he is participating in yet another reality show. In an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, Gaurav clarified that he isn’t joining Salman Khan’s controversial reality show Bigg Boss 19 for financial reasons. Instead, Gaurav feels that the experience will be valuable for him as an actor.
“I’m not doing this show for financial stability. I’m doing it to understand what sort of person I am. As an actor, I like to have different experiences. I will meet so many characters inside Bigg Boss. Imagine the amount of subconscious learning which I will get as an actor. I can play so many characters later in my life, picking from the Bigg Boss house. I mean, it’s a win-win for me in that scenario,” he told us.
Gaurav also said he isn’t thinking about how long he might stay in the Bigg Boss 19 house, knowing that situations and equations shift daily.
“I’m not thinking about the finale, I’m thinking about each week because this game changes every week. Every weekend brings a new war in the show. I like to have smaller targets which I can achieve and move on to the other ones. Of course, finale is the dream of every contestant who comes to Bigg Boss. I will not deny that. But my thing is that I would always look at it like a weekly thing because this story, the house, the mentality of people changes every week,” the actor added.
Gaurav Khanna entered the Bigg Boss 19 house during the premiere on Sunday, August 24. Other contestants joining him on Salman Khan’s show include Ashnoor Kaur, Abhishek Bajaj, Natalia Janoszek, Amaan Mallik, Kunickaa Sadanand, Nehal Chudasama, Zeeshan Quadri, Pranit More, Awez Darbar, Nagma Mirajkar, Mridul Tiwari, and Baseer Ali.
