WhatsApp calls have become extremely popular, especially when you are in low network areas. And soon, the messaging app will offer a useful tool that makes missing WhatsApp calls less tedious. The latest WhatsApp beta version has been spotted with a new record voice message feature which is similar to how you leave a message when a call goes unanswered.

It does feel like the natural progression of WhatsApp which is no longer just an app where you chat. You get AI tools, video calling support and now a full-fledged platform for regular calls via the data service.

WhatsApp Voice Message For Calls

The new voice message for calls option has been spotted in the latest WhatsApp Android beta 2.25.23.21 version and you will see the new feature under the voice call bubble, as you can see here.

The new Record voice message button will let you send them the message which is likely to show up on their chat screen. You will also see the record message icon on the call interface between the Call cancel and Call again icons. The details from WaBetaInfo does not say if the feature will be enabled by default but it is good to see the platform consider these essential calling tools for its users.

The calling support has already got a new option on WhatsApp earlier this month. The messaging app is dabbling with AI thanks to Meta but it is equally focused on bringing new features that will make it extremely popular for making video calls of all nature.

The latest update talks about WhatsApp letting you schedule meetings, just like Google Meet and Zoom and the people included in the list will even be notified when the meeting is about to start.

The person setting up the call will also get alerted when people join the meeting via the same shared link. WhatsApp assures that like all the personal calls that people make, these group calls are also protected by its end-to-end encryption standard.
