Jaswinder Bhalla Death: Renowned Punjabi comedian Jaswinder Bhalla passed away on August 22. Known for his sharp wit and iconic roles in Punjabi cinema, he took his last breath at the age of 65. His death marks a major loss to the Punjabi entertainment industry. Amid the condolences pouring in on X, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has also penned an emotional note.

Bhagwant Mann wrote in Punjabi: “The sudden departure of Jaswinder Bhalla Ji from this world is extremely sorrowful.. The heart is saddened by the silence of the jingle of Chhankatian… May Waheguru grant him a place at His feet… Chacha Chatra will always reside in our hearts…”

The translated post reads, “Hearing the news of the passing of Punjab’s famous comedian and wonderful human being, Jaswinder Bhalla Ji, has caused great sorrow. With his exceptional artistry, he ruled the hearts of Punjabis. In this fast-paced life, Punjabis will always remember Bhalla Ji, who brought smiles to people’s faces. May Guru Sahib grant the departed soul a place at His divine feet and give strength to the family and his millions of fans to accept this divine will.”

Jaswinder Bhalla Reason Of Death

Hours after Jaswinder Bhalla passed away, it has now been reported that the Punjabi actor-comedian was hospitalised for the last couple of days. As reported by BBC Punjabi, Bhalla suffered a brain stroke on Wednesday evening. He was rushed to Fortis Hospital in Mohali, where doctors revealed that the actor had also lost a significant amount of blood. Bhalla then breathed his last in the wee hours of Friday. India TV reported that the actor’s last rites will be held on August 23 at noon at the Balongi cremation ground in Mohali.

Who Was Jaswinder Bhalla?

Jaswinder Bhalla was a veteran Punjabi actor and comedian, celebrated for his witty humour and impactful performances. With a career spanning over three decades, Bhalla established himself as a household name in Punjabi entertainment. Born on May 4, 1960, in Doraha, Ludhiana, Punjab, he began his professional career in 1988 alongside co-performer Bal Mukund Sharma.

Some of Bhalla’s notable works include the Carry On Jatta series, Jatt and Juliet, and Mahaul Theek Hai. He has also showcased his talent in various stage shows, including “Naughty Baba in Town,” which has been well-received globally.
