Helicopter yatra from Delhi to Khatu Shyamji, Salasar Balaji starts Aug 23

Devotees in Delhi can now visit Khatu Shyamji and Salasar Balaji in Rajasthan by helicopter. Syandan Aviation, a Delhi-based private operator, will launch the service on August 23 from Rohini Heliport. The new route covers the nearly 700 km round-trip in about six hours.

The package is priced at ₹95,000 per seat. It includes meals, transport from the helipad to the temples, facilities to freshen up before darshan, and VIP entry at both shrines. Bookings can be made through WhatsApp, phone, or the company’s website.

The first flight will take off at 9:30 am on August 23, carrying invited dignitaries and celebrities.

Abhinav Sahay, Managing Director of Syandan Aviation, said the service is meant to save devotees long road journeys.

Syandan also runs helicopter yatras for the Char Dham in Uttarakhand. The company says it plans to expand further as helicopter tourism grows in India.

The rotor-wing aviation sector in India has seen more than double the number of operators in the past decade. Passenger volume for helicopter tourism is growing at over 12% annually, driven by both religious and leisure travel.

Several state governments are adding helicopter services to tourism plans. The Central government’s UDAN scheme is also supporting new routes and aviation growth.
