Boney Kapoor’s love for Sridevi continues to shine through even years after her passing. The producer’s recent post on Instagram is yet another glimpse into the deep bond they shared. On Tuesday, Boney shared a beautiful throwback picture of Sridevi from an event, where she looked absolutely stunning in a black semi-formal outfit with golden details on the sleeves.
The elegance and grace she carried in the frame are why she is still hailed as a true icon. Celebrating the same, Boney penned a touching note dedicated to her and wrote, “OOZING with Sophistication !!! Indian or Western she carries it with the same ELAN.”
Boney Kapoor’s Birthday Post For Sridevi
Boney Kapoor’s social media handle is filled with such posts where he lovingly remembers Sridevi, keeping her alive in the hearts of their fans too. On Sridevi’s 62nd birth anniversary earlier this month, he walked down memory lane to dig out hidden gems from archives and shared them on the photo-sharing application. It was attached to a playful caption, where he wrote, “Yesssss You are not 62 today. You are 26. Happy birthday. we are still reliving all your happy birthdays.”
In another post, Boney Kapoor also shared the context of the picture. He shared an old photo that captured a candid moment between them from the legendary actress’ 27th birthday celebrations in Chennai.
The caption of the post read, “In 1990, her birthday party in Chennai when I wished her happy 26th birthday, while it was her 27th birthday, to make her feel that she had gone younger & it was a compliment, that with every passing day she is getting younger, but she thought I was teasing her.”
Boney Kapoor And Sridevi Marriage
Boney and Sridevi got married in June 1996, making it public only in January 1997. The couple welcomed two daughters together, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor. Both of them are currently winning hearts with their acting chops in various films.
Sridevi passed away in February 2018 in Dubai where she was attending her nephew’s wedding.
On the work front, Boney Kapoor was last seen on screen in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, making his acting debut with the film. His last movie as a producer was Maidaan which was released in 2024. He is currently working on No Entry 2, the sequel to his cult comedy film which starred Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan and Salman Khan in key roles.
