Shah Rukh Khan reveals whether he throws tantrums on sets.

Shah Rukh Khan, on Saturday evening, hosted a surprise ‘Ask SRK’ session on X, leaving fans in a frenzy. There, SRK spoke about his upcoming film King, and also soft-launched his son Aryan Khan’s debut directorial series, Ba***ds of Bollywood, slated for release this year. During the question-answer session, SRK was asked if he throws tantrums on sets – a question that often circles big stars. His reply won the Internet.

In his signature humorous style, Shah Rukh Khan dismissed the notion outright. “Nobody allows me to throw tantrums on sets,” he said, before adding a cheeky remark about his upcoming project. “Now on King, even less — the director is so strict and organised.” The superstar’s upcoming film is being directed by Pathaan-fame Siddharth Anand. Here is his post:

SRK shares big update on King

Shah Rukh Khan returned to films in 2023, five years after Zero with Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in 2018. He first starred in Pathaan, then Jawan and Dunki – all in the same year. He is now gearing up for King, which also stars his daughter, Suhana Khan.

During his trademark #AskSRK session on X (formerly Twitter), a fan asked him when his next film would release. In his witty yet candid response, SRK wrote, “Did some good shoot… starting soon again. Only leg shots then move to upper body… Insha Allah will be done fast. @justSidAnand is working hard to finish.” For the unversed, King shoot is halted briefly owing to his recent shoulder injury.

SRK injured on King sets

Shah Rukh Khan’s highly-awaited King faced a setback after the superstar injured his shoulder while shooting an intense sequence at Mumbai’s Golden Tobacco Studio, according to a Mid-Day report.

Though the injury isn’t life-threatening, SRK has flown to the US for precautionary treatment, where doctors have advised him to rest for at least a month. As a result, production schedules planned at Film City, Golden Tobacco, and YRF Studios for July and August have been put on hold. Shooting is likely to resume in September or October, depending on his recovery.

Despite the delay, buzz around King continues to soar. The film stars SRK as a veteran assassin training his protégé, played by Suhana Khan. The cast also features Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Arshad Warsi, Abhay Verma, and Raghav Juyal, with Anil Kapoor reportedly essaying the role of SRK’s mentor.
