Coolie FIRST Review Out: Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie has exploded onto social media ahead of its release, with early audience reactions on X describing it as a “mass tsunami from start to finish.” From electrifying action to high-voltage drama, fans are hailing Rajinikanth’s performance, Anirudh’s pulsating background score, and whistle-worthy moments that have theatres set for a celebration.

The film sees Rajinikanth leading a power-packed cast featuring Aamir Khan in a special appearance as Dahaa, alongside Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, Upendra, Sathyaraj, and Soubin Shahir. Kanagaraj’s signature massy filmmaking style blends larger-than-life set pieces with crowd-pleasing emotional beats, ensuring every minute hits hard with Thalaivar’s trademark swag.

Box Office Buzz and Record-Breaking Pre-Sales

Even with War 2 hitting screens the same day, Coolie is holding its own in spectacular fashion. The Rajinikanth-led multi-starrer has already smashed the Rs 100 crore mark in pre-sales for its opening weekend, with over 12 lakh tickets sold on its first day alone. Trade pundits predict a Rs 50+ crore opening day, with the long Independence Day weekend likely pushing it past Rs 200 crore worldwide in its initial run.

Film trade analyst Ramesh Bala attributes this momentum to the star-studded ensemble: “Coolie is a multi-starrer with stars belonging to each of the southern states. Superstar Rajinikanth is popular across the country, and Aamir is a huge draw in the Hindi belt. Lokesh-Anirudh is a proven winning combo. Five big stars will pull five times more fans into theatres,” he explained.

Fans Celebrate Thalaivar’s Swag

While detailed critic reviews are yet to land, social media is already buzzing with fan-made videos, memes, and calls for repeat viewings. One fan posted: “A MASS Tsunami from start to finish! Electrifying screenplay, Thalaivar in never-before-seen swag, Anirudh’s BGM = Goosebumps overload.” Another wrote, “Director Loki In Beast Mode In 20 Minutes Of Pre Interval & Throughout Second Half!!!” (sic)

Industry experts believe Coolie could become Rajinikanth’s biggest opener in recent years, with the festive window and massive south-north appeal playing in its favour. With hype at fever pitch and theatres preparing for packed houses, Coolie is set to make this box office clash one for the record books.
