BTS’ V shared that he cried watching Jungkook and J-Hope’s duet at Hope On The Stage, calling it a secret he kept out of embarrassment.

BTS member V, also known as Kim Taehyung, recently revealed an emotional moment that he had kept hidden from fans. Speaking in an interview with W Korea on YouTube, V confessed that he cried while watching Jungkook and J-Hope perform together during Hope On The Stage in Seoul this June.
V’s Secret Tears at Hope On The Stage
The concert marked a special occasion, as it was the first time the entire group—V, Jungkook, RM, Suga, Jimin, Jin, and J-Hope—were able to gather since several members completed their mandatory military service. Jungkook had returned to the stage alongside J-Hope, while Jin also joined to show his support.
V recalled, “I cried during Hobi’s concert. Actually, I shed a few tears during Hobi’s performance… During the duet with Jungkook I got choked up. It was a secret because I was embarrassed. I was too embarrassed to say anything. Let’s keep this just between us.”
Close Bond With Jin and a Fitness Glow-Up
V also shared a sweet moment involving Jin, affectionately known as his hyung. Jin, who recently wrapped his Run Seokjin World Tour in Amsterdam on August 10, revealed that when V visited the group during his tour, he refused to leave his side. This playful clinginess has long been a hallmark of V’s affection for his bandmates.
While his emotional side touched ARMYs, V has also been showing off his post-military transformation. On August 11, he posted a video from a gym session, lifting dumbbells and flaunting his chiseled physique. The clip quickly went viral, leaving fans in awe of how he has built himself into a muscular, tougher-looking version of the singer they know and love.
Between his heartfelt confession about crying at Hope On The Stage, his unwavering closeness with his BTS brothers, and his fitness journey, V continues to captivate fans worldwide.
