Avneet Kaur’s journey in the entertainment world began all the way back in 2010 when she charmed audiences as a tiny dancer on Dance India Dance Li’l Masters. Her energy and talent stood out even then, and she soon appeared on Dance Ke Superstars as well. But dancing was just the beginning for her.
In 2012, Avneet took her first steps into acting with the TV show Meri Maa. From there, she kept the momentum going with roles in Tedhe Hain Par Tere Mere Hain and even joined Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa as the youngest contestant ever — dancing alongside actor Darsheel Safary. Clearly, the stage was already her playground.
By 2013, she was already embracing regal roles, playing a royal in Savitri – Ek Prem Kahani and appearing in Ek Mutthi Aasmaan. She also tried her hand at hosting with The Weekly Rap on ZeeQ. Her big-screen debut came in 2014 with Mardaani, starring Rani Mukerji, and that same year, she was seen in Hamari Sister Didi.
Always eager to experiment, she took on diverse roles — like starring in the short film Dost in 2016, and stepping into historical drama in 2017 as Rajkumari Charumati in Chandra Nandini. But her breakthrough TV moment came between 2018 and 2020, when she played Princess Yasmine in Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga. This role made her a household name, though sadly she had to leave the show due to health reasons.
In recent years, Avneet has shifted her focus more towards films. In 2023, she appeared in Chidiakhana and Tiku Weds Sheru, followed by Luv Ki Arrange Marriage and Party Till I Die in 2024. Now, she’s all set for one of her biggest projects yet — Love in Vietnam. Co-starring Shantanu Maheshwari and Vietnamese star Kha Ngan, the film is directed by Rahhat Shah Kazmi and was officially announced at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. Notably, it marks the first-ever cinematic collaboration between India and Vietnam, making it a landmark project for her career.
