The district administration has announced a series of restrictions at the Shri Naina Devi to ensure public safety, cleanliness, and order. The fair, which will take place from July 25 to August 3, will see a complete ban on the use of loudspeakers, drums, bands, and any sound-amplifying devices within the temple complex.
Announcements and public messages will be made only through the designated control room, as per the directive issued by District Magistrate Rahul Kumar.
Authorities have also prohibited the use of bamboo baskets for offering traditional items such as halwa, coconuts, and prasad, citing concerns over waste management and convenience. In terms of security, 500 home guards, including women personnel from Home Guard Fifth Corps, Bilaspur, will be deployed to manage the influx of devotees.
Their allowances will be covered by the Shri Naina Devi Ji Temple Trust. To control movement and reduce traffic congestion, heavy vehicles will not be permitted on the route from Towa to the temple during the fair.
Additionally, passenger-loaded trucks, tempos, and tractors will be stopped at border points like Gadamoda and Gwalthai (Bhakra), requiring devotees to continue their journey via buses or taxis. The district administration has urged all visitors to cooperate with the guidelines and help maintain a peaceful atmosphere.
