Munmun Dutta, best known for her iconic role as Babitaji in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, left fans emotional with a heartfelt Instagram story. Taking to social media, the actress paid tribute to the late Ghanshyam Nayak, who was widely loved for his portrayal of Nattu Kaka. Sharing a series of unseen photos from their shooting days, Munmun fondly remembered him as one of her “favourite people.”

The actress, who has been captivating audiences for over 17 years, rose to fame through the iconic show and became a beloved household name. Taking to her Instagram Stories, Munmun shared three heartfelt glimpses from the past.

The first picture shows Ghanashyam holding Munmun’s purse while she is busy posing for the camera. She wrote, “Wow, I can’t believe what I found in my memories today,” adding, “Dilipji making fun of adorable Ghanshyam uncle (Nattu Kaka) for holding my purse.”

In another heartfelt post, she wrote, “He was one of my favourite people,” followed by, “Thanks to technology for saving all these memories.” These nostalgic posts not only left Munmun emotional but also stirred a wave of memories among fans. After she shared the stories, fans got super emotional as they were missing Nattu Kaka.

Ghanshyam Nayak, best known as Nattu Kaka from the popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, passed away on October 3, 2021, at the age of 77 after a long battle with cancer. The veteran actor had an illustrious career, working in nearly 100 Hindi and Gujarati films and appearing in over 300 television serials. However, he is best remembered for his iconic role in TMKOC.

According to Zee News, Ghanshyam even shot for a special episode of the show while undergoing chemotherapy. He was given the funeral he had always wished for. In a conversation with ETimes, his son Vikas shared, “We called a professional makeup artist to do his makeup when he passed away, as he wanted to die with his makeup on. And I must tell you, there was immense peace on his face when his pulse stopped.”

Though Ghanshyam had forgotten his name during his final moments, he will forever be remembered and cherished by die-hard TMKOC fans for his dedication and incredible performances. Munmun Dutta’s recent tribute is a nostalgic trip down memory lane, bringing back fond memories of the beloved Nattu Kaka.
