Dhadak 2 Box Office Collection Day 2: Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, finally arrived in theatres on August 1 after several delays. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, the film follows a new love story and is a spiritual follow-up to the 2018 movie Dhadak. Although it started off slowly on day one, the box office numbers are improving. By the end of day two, Dhadak 2 has earned Rs 7 crore, according to Sacnilk. The film hasn’t crossed Rs 10 crore yet, but there’s still a chance for it to grow with the weekend audience.
On day two, Dhadak 2 showed a slight bump at the box office, raking in Rs 3.75 crore. The film had opened with Rs 3.5 crore on its first day, and with this new figure, its total collection has now reached Rs 7.25 crore. While the numbers aren’t huge, the film seems to be holding steady heading into the weekend.
Dhadak 2 isn’t having it easy at the box office. The film is facing tough competition from Son of Sardaar 2, which also released this week. The Ajay Devgn-starrer comedy sequel earned Rs 7.5 crore on its second day which is double of Dhadak 2’s Day 2 collection. With this, Son of Sardaar 2’s total now stands at Rs 14.5 crore.
Meanwhile, Saiyaara continues to rule the box office in its third week. The romantic drama is all set to cross the Rs 300 crore mark by Sunday. Also holding strong is the animated mythological film Mahavtar Narasimha, which is doing very well in its second week.
The film narrates the story of a law student who falls in love with his classmate, only to face harassment from her family due to caste differences. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, and backed by Dharma Productions, Zed Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures, the romantic drama dives deep into themes of caste discrimination, love, and social resistance, offering a raw and emotionally charged cinematic experience.
A spiritual sequel to the 2018 film Dhadak, this version is a remake of the acclaimed Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal. Alongside the lead pair, the film also features Zakir Hussain and Saurabh Sachdeva in pivotal roles.
