Who knew Shraddha Kapoor had a secret past with bagels and cappuccinos? The actress, who recently joined LinkedIn and already has over 50k followers, shocked the internet with the most relatable (and hilarious) work experience update. Shraddha casually confessed she once worked at Starbucks in Boston and proudly declared, “I was the worst and slowest barista in Boston.” Naturally, the internet can’t stop laughing.

Shraddha Kapoor has been quite active on the platform, mentioning that she hopes to “share my entrepreneurial journey.” Her profile mentions her role as co-founder of Palmonas, a retail luxury goods and jewellery brand she joined last year. It also lists her long-running career as a self-employed actor since 2009, the year she made her Bollywood debut with Teen Patti.
But what really grabbed everyone’s attention wasn’t Shraddha’s jewellery brand or her Bollywood debut. It was her “hustle life” in Boston. Turns out, before serving hits on screen, she was serving bagels and coffee on campus. In early 2006, Shraddha worked at Einstein Bros Bagels and proudly wrote, “made bagels, really good ones.” A few months before that, she had a short-lived gig at Starbucks, where she admitted, “I was the worst and slowest barista in Boston. I want to find all the customers and apologise.”
Back in 2005-06, Shraddha was busy studying Psychology at Boston University, but textbooks had to take a backseat when Bollywood came calling. She dropped out after landing her debut film Teen Patti (2009) alongside legends like Amitabh Bachchan and Ben Kingsley. The film, sadly, tanked at the box office. But Shraddha’s real “entry ticket” to stardom came a couple of years later with Aashiqui 2 (2011), which turned her into a household name overnight.

A person on Reddit shared the screenshot and wrote, “Isko bhi US mein part time side income ke liye kamana pada (Even she had to earn side income through a part time job in the US) 😞 struggle is real.” Another quipped, “Looks like the struggle was more for the Barista customers.” A third comment read, “Her descriptions for barista and bagel maker are cute!”
Fake account?
Last month, Shraddha had her first LinkedIn problem when the app thought her account was fake! The 38-year-old actor shared on Instagram, asking LinkedIn to help her out. She wrote, “My account is premium and verified, but no one can see it. I just wanted to start posting, but even making an account has become a whole drama.”
Work front
Shraddha was last seen in Stree 2, the horror-comedy that turned into a blockbuster and became the highest-grossing Hindi film in India. Before that, she starred in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, which was also a big hit at the box office.
The actress recently shared a cryptic post, and fans are convinced she might be stepping into film production. It’s been over six months now since Shraddha announced her next film. In an interesting twist, Shraddha dropped a major hint about her next project. She shared an Instagram story that read, “Pichar announce karni hai, Meri production company ke liye… Naam suggest karo please!”
