Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan has reportedly landed in legal trouble over alleged purchase of an agricultural land in Alibaug.
Documents suggest that Suhana reportedly bought two plots collectively worth around Rs 22 crore in Alibaug in 2023 and 2024. The plots were registered in the name of Deja Vu Farm Private Limited. The company is said to be owned by Gauri Khan’s mother and sister-in-law.
According to reports, one of the plots is in Alibaug’s Thal village. Suhana allegedly bought it for Rs 12.91 crore from three sisters — Anjali, Rekha and Priya — who had inherited it from their parents. Reports further suggest the government had originally allocated the land for farming. Suhana paid a stamp duty of Rs 77.46 lakh at the time of purchase. In the registered documents made at the time of purchase, Suhana has allegedly been shown as a farmer.
The authorities are currently investigating the matter and Resident Deputy Collector Sandesh Shirke has asked for an unbiased report from the Alibag Tehsildar.
Suhana is set for her theatrical debut in King.
In 2018, the income-tax department had provisionally attached Khan’s bungalow in Alibaug over suspicion that it was used as a farmhouse for personal use, despite being purchased for agricultural purposes. The property was owned by Deja Vu Farms Pvt Ltd. The notice was part of an investigation by the I-T department into the benami transaction and alleged violation of norms for agricultural land acquisition.
