Sudeep Sanjeev, known to his fans as Kiccha Sudeep, is truly a man of many talents. He is an actor, director, producer, playback singer, and anchor. Over the years, he has not only become a renowned name in the South but across India. Considered one of the bankable stars in regional cinema, he primarily works in the Kannada film industry. Born on September 2, 1973, Sudeep began his acting career in 1997 with a supporting role in Thayavva.
His break came a few years later with a leading role in Sunil Kumar Desai’s romantic drama Sparsha, which was released in 2000. From there, his journey moved upwards. It was the 2001 film Huchcha that turned him into a household name and earned him the beloved nickname Kichcha.
Since then, he has delivered several blockbusters, including Nandhi, Maanikya, Ranna, Hebbuli, The Villain (2018), and the Telugu-Hindi bilingual Rakta Charitra, among others.
Sudeep did not limit himself to regional cinema. He made his debut in Bollywood in 2008 with the film Phoonk. Later, he even shared the screen with Salman Khan in Dabangg 3.

What Did Salman Khan Gift To Kiccha Sudeep?
Salman Khan was the protagonist, and Kiccha Sudeep was the antagonist in the 2019 cop-drama, Dabangg 3, directed by Prabhu Deva. While they were on opposite sides on the screen, the two actors shared a sweet bond off-camera. Upon the shoot wrap-up, the Bollywood star gifted Sudeep his favourite jacket, which featured a picture of Salman’s favourite pet dog.
That wasn’t all. Just days after, Kiccha Sudeep revealed that he received yet another gift from his co-star. This time, a BMW M5. At the time, the car was estimated to cost around Rs 1.7 crore. Sharing a few pictures on Instagram, Kiccha Sudeep thanked Salman Khan for the surprise. “Good always happens when u do good. @beingsalmankhan sir made me believe this line further when this surprise landed at home along with him,” he wrote in the post.
Kiccha Sudeep: Latest Movie
The actor was last seen in the action thriller Max, directed by debutant Vijay Karthikeyaa. Released theatrically on December 25, 2024, the film features Sudeepa as the producer, who also plays the titular role of a cop, alongside an ensemble cast that includes Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Sunil, Samyukta Hornad, Sukrutha Wagle, and Anirudh Bhat. Max emerged as the highest-grossing Kannada film of 2024.
Kiccha Sudeep: Upcoming Projects
- Billa Ranga Baasha: Directed by Anup Bhandari, the futuristic film began filming in April this year. The first look at the film revealed Sudeep in a snowy mountain setting, looking menacing and fierce. The story is said to be set in 2209 AD.
- Kichcha 47: After Max, the actor once again teamed up with Vijay Karthikeyaa for an action thriller, tentatively titled Kichcha 47. The makers released a teaser on social media in July to announce the project. In the video, Sudeep appears in a stylish avatar, smoking a cigarette.
