Tamil actor Vishal is currently on cloud nine as he got engaged to actress Sai Dhanshika. They exchanged rings on the actor’s birthday, August 29 and the couple’s pictures are completely winning over fans. But do you know that the couple had initially planned to get married on this date? Yes, you read that right.
During the audio launch of Dhanshika’s film Yogi Da, where Vishal was one of the chief guests, the duo confirmed their wedding news. So what changed? What made them postpone this special occasion?
After his engagement ceremony, Vishal talked to a local news channel, where he explained that he wanted to get married only after the completion of Nadigar Sangam’s office building.
Why did Vishal postpone his marriage to Sai Dhanshika?
Sitting down for a conversation with Puthiya Thalaimurai, he said, “This is my last birthday as a bachelor. This morning, Sai Dhanshika and I got engaged to each other. With your blessings, I am officially betrothed to Sai Dhanshika. This is Vishal’s final birthday as a chronic bachelor.”
“If you look at the building behind me, you can see the place we have waited for 9 years. Now we are going to wait for another 2 months and it will be completed. We initially wanted to marry on my birthday, but I set a condition for Dhanshika to wait until the building is opened and she also agreed,” Vishal added.
He concluded saying, “The building has been long overdue for Nadigar Sangam and at the same time, he has finally found the right partner to spend his life with.”
What is Vishal and Sai Dhanshika’s marriage date?
On being asked about the wedding date, Vishal continued, “I have already booked an auditorium for our wedding. As soon as the building is inaugurated, we’ll settle on a date.”

The actor got engaged to actress Sai Dhanshika on his birthday, August 29. The intimate ceremony took place in Chennai and was attended by close family and friends. Taking to his X handle, Vishal shared the happy news with fans along with their cheerful photos. In the snapshots, both are seen wearing traditional attire with garlands around their necks. We also got a closer look at their engagement rings that mark their new chapter together.
Sharing the news with fans, he wrote, “Thank you all, you darlings, from every nook and corner of this universe for wishing and blessing me on my special birthday. Looking ahead, Vishal is currently filming for his upcoming movie Magudam. The film, directed by Ravi Arasu, also stars Dushara Vijayan, Anjali and Yogi Babu. Magudam promises to deliver a powerful triple-impact performance from Vishal, further cementing his position as a formidable action hero in Tamil cinema.
He also has Thupparivaalan 2 in his pipeline. A sequel to the 2017 film Thupparivaalan, the film follows Kaniyan Pongundran, a detective who works with his partner Mano to solve cases.
