After a fight broke out during the shoot of Pati Patni Aur Woh 2, the main accused who assaulted the film’s crew has been arrested. A crew member of Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan’s upcoming film was allegedly assaulted in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj by some locals/ This prompted the police to register an FIR and arrest the main accused.
The incident took place during the shooting of the film Pati, Patni Aur Woh 2 on Thornhill Road on August 27, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (City) Abhijeet Kumar said. Zoheb Solapurwala, the production head of BR Chopra Films, was allegedly attacked by some locals.
An FIR was lodged at the Civil Lines Police Station on August 28 after a complaint by BR Chopra Films’ line producer Saurabh Tiwari, police said. The main accused, identified as Meraj Ali, was arrested, police said.
For the unversed, the shoot of Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 has commenced in Prayagraj, and there is already drama on the sets. As per some viral videos, locals of the city beat up the film’s crew after an argument. The now-viral video shows two locals approaching a crew member who was shooting a car sequence.
The videos claim that the crew got involved in an argument with locals, who then beat them up. While some locals tried to calm them down, others joined in the beating, and a fight thus ensued. The makers of the film have yet to issue a statement.

Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 is the sequel of Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, and Ananya Panday’s Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019). Ayushmann Khurrana has replaced Kartik for the sequel, and his two lady loves will be Sara Ali Khan and Wamiqa Gabbi. Peeping Moon previously reported that the makers were looking for fresh romantic pairings with proven comic timing and found the triangular dynamic of Ayushmann-Wamiqa-Sara perfect.
Earlier, Pinkvilla quoted a source as saying, “Sara and Ayushmann are a fresh combo in the comic space, and the actress fits the T for the character’s brief. She heard the script, and it was an instant yes from her side for the film.” The source further confirmed that the film will be directed by Mudassar Aziz, who is known for Happy Bhaag Jayegi, Pati Patni Aur Woh and Khel Khel Mein.
