A source told the Daily Mail that Joe Alwyn, 34, “has not reached out, nor will he” to congratulate his ex-girlfriend following her surprise engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce. The insider added that Alwyn “genuinely hopes she is in a good place and doing well,” but emphasised that the actor sees no need for contact, believing Swift herself “wouldn’t want to hear from him anyway.”
The source further noted that Kelce’s romantic proposal served as “the final nail in the coffin to any thoughts” Alwyn may have had about their long-ended relationship. Reports suggest that he “doesn’t think about her anymore on any consistent basis,” choosing instead to prioritise his career and personal life away from the public frenzy surrounding Swift.

Swift and Alwyn began dating in late 2016 and spent six years together before quietly splitting in 2023. While the singer briefly dated The 1975’s Matty Healy before finding lasting love with Kelce, Alwyn has remained focused on work and maintaining a low-profile life in London.
