Hansal Mehta has given fans a special treat by sharing behind-the-scenes (BTS) photos from the set of his highly anticipated series Gandhi, starring Pratik Gandhi in the titular role. Taking to social media, he posted moments from the shoot, accompanied by a heartfelt note expressing his gratitude to the cast, crew.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Hansal Mehta shared a series of photos and wrote, “Exactly a year ago, we called it a wrap on the principal photography of #Gandhi. What began as an idea, then a daunting mountain to climb, slowly turned into days and nights of relentless work, doubt, discovery, and joy. And here we are one year later… counting down to just 10 days before the world sees it for the first time at #TIFF50 on September 6, 2025. I carry with me immense gratitude for the extraordinary women and men who poured their hearts into the telling of this story. They stood beside me through chaos and calm, through exhaustion and exhilaration. This premiere isn’t just a milestone. Hansal Mehta Shares Poster Of Pratik Gandhi’s Gandhi, First Series To Premiere At TIFF
Earlier this month, Hansal Mehta has unveiled the first official poster of his much-awaited series Gandhi, starring Pratik Gandhi in the titular role. The announcement has created excitement, as the series is set to achieve a historic milestone. It will be the first Indian series to premiere at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Taking to his Instagram handle, Hansal Mehta shared the poster and wrote, “We are honored to announce the world premiere of Gandhi at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival 2025, the first Indian series to be selected in TIFF’s prestigious Primetime slate! This series is Produced by Applause Entertainment, Directed by Hansal Mehta and the Music is Composed by A R Rahman.” The poster shows Pratik Gandhi in an Gandhi avatar. One of the fans wrote, “heartiest congratulations to the entire team.”
AR Rahman shared his enthusiasm on the social platform X, stating, “Glad to announce the world premiere of Gandhi at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival 2025 (sic).” Reportedly, the series is based on Ramachandra Guha’s renowned works, ‘Gandhi before India’ and ‘Gandhi: The Years that Changed the World’, which provide an in-depth exploration of Gandhi’s impact on India and beyond.
