Vicky Kaushal’s performance in Chhaava was hailed critically and the film remains the highest grossing film of the year so far. But not just critical acclaim or box office numbers, the film also earned Vicky Kaushal a massive fan base. In the latest, Vicky was spotted in Mumbai’s airport but what caught everyone’s attention was a fan gifting him with a shawl and a small statue of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
In the video, Vicky not only accepts the shawl gracefully, but also removes his shoes while receiving the murti, and netizens are impressed by his gesture. Chhaava was a historical action film about Sambhaji Maharaj, the second emperor of the Maratha Empire, played by Vicky Kaushal. Laxman Utekar directs the adaptation of Shivaji Sawant’s Marathi novel Chhava, which Dinesh Vijan produces under Maddock Films. Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna round out the cast.
Vicky Kaushal To Be Seen In Love And War
Vicky Kaushal has a lineup of projects ahead. Vicky will appear in Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film also has Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. It is set for release in March, next year. Recently, a video of Vicky and Ranbir exiting the Mumbai airport together went viral. Before leaving and heading to their own automobiles, they hugged and said their goodbyes. Vicky Kaushal dressed casually in a grey sweatshirt, beige cargo pants and a matching grey cap, while Ranbir wore a white tee layered over a navy blue shirt and denim jeans.
Vicky Kaushal’s Mahavatar Delayed
The mythical saga has been moved back to 2027, from its original release date of 2026. According to a report, the delay is due to the Love And War filming. Peeping Moon reported that the film is set to premiere in the fourth quarter of this year. However, Mahavatar is now planned to begin construction in April of next year, making a December 2026 release date impossible. This delay is attributed to Vicky Kaushal’s commitments to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period romance ‘Love & War,’ which is taking longer than expected to complete.
