BTS leader RM has once again captured ARMY’s hearts with a deeply personal letter shared on Weverse. Known for his poetic lyricism and moving words, RM has a gift for expressing emotions that resonate with millions. On August 22, he posted a heartfelt update written from the terrace of the home he currently shares with Jin, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook in Los Angeles, where the group has been living together while working on their post-military comeback album.
In his message, RM described the joy of being reunited with his fellow members after completing military service. He admitted that the time spent together in a rented house across the globe feels like something out of their beloved travel series Bon Voyage. “Working, living, and playing together with the members is a truly strange experience,” he wrote, adding that the days blend into a rhythm of simple reality—waking up late, exercising, heading to work in the afternoon, and returning home after sunset.
RM reflected on how BTS’ bond has grown through both challenges and quiet moments. “In our hearts, ‘Bangtan’ might be like pieces of paper, each of a different colour. Even I’m not quite sure anymore,” he admitted, before expressing his gratitude for the shared journey. Approaching thirty, RM said he is deeply thankful to still be creating alongside his closest friends. “I want to dedicate myself to, and feel grateful for, this very moment itself,” he emphasized.
The leader also shared his hope that the memories being made in Los Angeles will “turn into some kind of beauty, something I’d forgotten for too long.” For fans, these words underline his sincerity and the emotional weight of BTS’ return to music after a period of service and separation.
RM reassured ARMY that he and the group are “working diligently” on their next album and committed himself fully to the creative process. BTS has been in Los Angeles since early July preparing for their highly anticipated release, which is slated for spring 2026.
