Indian cricket star Yuzvendra Chahal and radio jockey-turned-actor Mahvash Amu are in the news again.
Ahead of the Champions League T10 2025, Mahvash, co-owner of the team Supreme Strikers, shared a picture on her Instagram story with the caption “Match Day Jai Mata di.”
This caught the attention of Chahal’s fans, as the spinner often uses the exact same phrase before his matches. In fact, only a day earlier, on August 21, Chahal had posted the same caption ahead of Northamptonshire’s English One Day Cup 2025 clash against Kent, continuing his pre-match ritual.
What Are Yuzvendra Chahal And RJ Mahvash?
The pair have been seen together multiple times in public. Mahvash was spotted with Chahal during the Champions Trophy 2025 and later cheering for Punjab Kings in IPL 2025, fuelling rumours about a possible relationship. Despite the speculation, Mahvash has publicly maintained that she is “single.” However, her growing presence alongside the leg-spinner has only strengthened gossip about the nature of their bond.
Chahal’s personal life has already been in the spotlight this year due to his divorce from Dhanashree Verma. The couple, who tied the knot in December 2020, officially parted ways in March 2025 after living separately for a year and a half.
Recently, Dhanashree spoke about the divorce in her first interview since the split, opening up about accusations, emotional struggles, and her determination to focus on her career. In the interview with Humans of Bombay, she highlighted the importance of keeping personal matters private, adding, “…a coin has two sides”.
Shortly after her statements went viral, Chahal posted a cryptic message on Instagram, writing, “Million feelings, zero words,” which fans interpreted as a subtle response to his ex-wife’s remarks. The drama did not end there, as Dhanashree later posted another story on Instagram, declaring, “It’s time to rise. A new chapter begins now.”
