Bigg Boss 19 is all set to premiere on 30th August, and excitement around the show is already at a peak. Fans are eagerly waiting to see what the digital-first season has in store, with Salman Khan returning as host for the first three months. Alongside the show’s extended runtime, the latest buzz is about Salman Khan’s staggering fees for hosting this season.
Salman Khan’s Massive Pay for Bigg Boss 19
According to sources, Salman Khan is expected to earn between Rs 120–150 crores for hosting Bigg Boss 19 over a span of 15 weeks. His fee works out to around Rs 8–10 crores per weekend, as the show primarily streams on OTT with a same-day repeat telecast on TV. While this season’s budget is reportedly smaller than previous editions, Salman’s fee reflects his unmatched star power and the digital-first approach of the show.
For context, Salman had charged Rs 96 crores for Bigg Boss OTT 2, while his fees for Bigg Boss 18 and 17 were reportedly Rs 250 crores and Rs 200 crores respectively. Since Bigg Boss 19 will also feature other guest hosts in the latter months, his pay is slightly lower than the traditional TV version but higher than previous OTT seasons.
Digital-First Format and Guest Hosts
Bigg Boss 19 will run for five months, with Salman Khan hosting the first three months. Afterward, guest hosts like Farah Khan, Karan Johar, and Anil Kapoor may take over for the remaining period. This year, the show will release fresh episodes first on Jio Hotstar, followed by Colors TV telecast after approximately one and a half hours.
The promo, shot on 21st July, revolves around a political theme and marks the start of the show’s digital-first marketing push.
Rumoured Contestants of Bigg Boss 19
While the official list of contestants is yet to be confirmed, rumoured participants include Gautami Kapoor, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Alisha Panwar, Khushi Dubey, Gaurav Taneja, Mr Faisu, Apoorva Mukhija, Purav Jha, Gaurav Khanna, Dhanashree Verma, Sriram Chandra, Arshifa Khan, Mickey Makeover, among others. Fans are eagerly anticipating the final lineup and the high-voltage drama that Bigg Boss promises.
