With just hours to go before Coolie hits theatres, director Lokesh Kanagaraj has shared an emotional letter expressing gratitude to Rajinikanth, his star-studded cast, dedicated crew, producers, and fans. Calling the experience “surreal and spellbound,” Lokesh thanked Thalaivar for giving him “complete creative freedom” to bring his vision to life.
He extended special mentions to “King Nagarjuna” Sir, “Real Star Upendra” Sir, Soubin Sir, Sathyaraj Sir, Shruti Haasan, and Aamir Khan, whose involvement made the journey “even more special.”

Lokesh Kanagaraj Expresses Gratitude to Cast, Crew and Producers
Lokesh acknowledged his crew as “pillars of strength and dedication” over nearly two years of production. “I will forever be grateful to each and every person who has contributed to this film in any way,” he wrote.
He thanked Sun Pictures and producer Kalanithi Maran Sir for trusting him with the project and allowing him to shape it under his vision. Lokesh also praised Kannan Sir for his “unwavering support,” and the entire team for standing by him throughout.
The director credited his core team — The Route, Jagadish Bro, Aishwarya, and Radheyan — for their instrumental role in getting all the actors on board for the ambitious film.
