Faissal Khan says Aamir Khan was ‘shattered’ after Reena Dutta broke up, calling their love story ‘pure’.
Faissal Khan has once again made headlines with shocking remarks about his superstar brother Aamir Khan – this time speaking about the actor’s first marriage to Reena Dutta and the deep impact their separation had on him.
In a new interview with Pinkvilla, Faissal described the bond between Aamir and Reena as genuine and selfless. “Reena ke saath mera bahut acha tha, she has always been very nice to me. She is a lovely lady. It was sad that they broke up. He was shattered. She was with him when he was nothing, so she didn’t have any ulterior motive ki yeh Aamir Khan hai, woh bana baad mein, pehle Reena aayi thi. You understand that the love is pure,” he said.
‘Only I Knew About His Wedding to Reena’
Faissal recalled being the only family member aware of Aamir’s marriage to Reena at the time. “I was very close to him. There was a time when Aamir got married to Reena, only I knew in the entire family and no one else. He was very nice to me even when I was locked up, he was caring.”
Kiran Rao ‘Lived In’ Before Marriage
Speaking about Aamir’s second marriage, Faissal revealed he never spent much time with Kiran Rao. “I don’t know her that well. I never spent time or interacted with her on any level. She also doesn’t know me much, woh mauka hi nahi mila. She was living with Aamir for two years before getting married in 2005. They both were busy with their work and I was locked in the house.”
Family Dispute and Statement
Faissal has previously claimed Aamir confined him for a year in his Mumbai home after he was diagnosed with schizophrenia – allegations the family has denied. In a statement signed by multiple relatives, including Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao, they called his version “misleading and distressful” and stressed that all decisions were made with medical guidance.
Despite past tensions, Faissal says they have reconciled. “I love Aamir, I respect him. I don’t even have any grudges against my family, we are all back together. Past is the past, we celebrate birthdays and functions now.”
