Ajit Arora’s crime-thriller short film Red Letter is now available on OTT. The film unravels the eerie story of a man whose recurring nightmare starts to intertwine with reality, triggered by the discovery of a mysterious red letter.
Red Letter, directed by Ajit Arora, who also plays the lead role, presents a gripping and suspenseful tale within a compact runtime. This short film offers an engaging experience, perfect for fans of thrilling stories that are both concise and powerful. It is available exclusively for streaming on ShemarooMe’s OTTplay Premium platform starting August 9. The film runs for a total of 35 minutes and 38 seconds.
The Intriguing Plot of Red Letter
The plot revolves around Abhi, played by Ajit Arora, a man haunted by persistent nightmares. In these visions, a mysterious hand leads him to a nearby cave, where a unique red rock conceals a letter dating back to 1890. This letter hints at a dark chapter involving an Asur, an ominous figure accused of harming children.
Struggling to make sense of these disturbing dreams, Abhi sets out to uncover the truth behind the Asur’s identity. He is joined by his wife, Arva, portrayed by Krishma Thakur, whose skills as an archaeologist become vital in unravelling the mystery. As their investigation progresses, a chilling question looms: Could Abhi himself be the Asur? The story unfolds gradually, building suspense and revealing key details scene by scene.
Beyond its thrilling plot, Red Letter delivers a profound social commentary, shedding light on the harsh realities of trauma, concealed predators and the bravery required to confront painful truths.
