Colors TV’s new reality program Chhoriyan Chali Gaon continues to throw some light on the actual stories behind its celebrity-rich cast. Hosted by Rannvijay Singha, popular urban celebrities are taken away from the city life and brought to the very core of rural life in Bamuliya.
Among them is the beloved content creator duo Samriddhi and Surabhi Mehra, popularly known as Chinki-Minki. While the sisters are often seen bringing laughter and energy, this week’s episode revealed a much more emotional side.
A Hidden Bond: Samriddhi’s Painful Childhood Revelation
In an emotional and tearful moment on the show, Samriddhi spoke about a chapter of her life she had never talked about before. Until the first few years of her early life, she didn’t even realise she had a twin.
“My family was so traditional that they sent my sister away just because we were 2 girls,” she recounted, her voice shaking. “I did not know that I even had a twin. My sister never got to feel a mother’s love in those formative years.”
She said that it was only due to their mother’s strength that they were brought together at last. “But our mom stood up for us; she fought with the whole family to get us together. I met my sister for the first time when I was 5. When she came back home, I didn’t even realise I had a sister who looked identical to me.”
Samriddhi continued, “After that day, our relationship has been solid. Our mother is the world for us.”
Her words resonated not only with the other contestants but with the audience as well. Her tears weren’t solely for past hurt—they were for strength, reunification, and the strength of a mother’s love.
Samriddhi’s story is a reminder that family separation can deeply impact even the closest of siblings. Her reunion with Surabhi brought both healing and an unshakable bond.
Their unbreakable bond began that day. That moment started a connection that has only grown stronger.
The Show That Goes Beyond Entertainment
Chhoriyan Chali Gaon is not just a show about adapting to rural life. It has become a platform where women find space to be vulnerable and real.
With a lineup of celebrities like Anita Hassanandani, Aishwarya Khare, Krishna Shroff, and others, the show blends entertainment with emotion.
Moments like Samriddhi’s confession reveal the depth of the human experiences behind fame. It’s stories like these that give the show its soul. Each episode reveals more than challenges. It reveals strength and unseen parts of each woman’s journey.
As Chhoriyan Chali Gaon continues, viewers are reminded that behind every smiling face lies a story that deserves to be heard. And Samriddhi’s story—of separation, reunion, and an unbreakable sisterly bond—is one that touched hearts across the country.
