What cardholders should check
The advertised discount may not translate into an equivalent saving on every booking. Minimum transaction values, maximum discount caps, eligible cards, coupon codes and booking dates determine the benefit available to a customer.
Cardholders should also check whether an offer applies to full-payment transactions or only to EMI purchases. Where EMIs are involved, the interest rate, processing fee and other charges should be considered before converting a booking into instalments. An instant discount does not necessarily mean the EMI is interest-free.
Comparing the final payable amount across booking platforms can help customers assess whether a bank-linked offer provides a meaningful saving. Customers should also check whether the discount can be combined with other platform offers or card rewards, as this depends on the applicable terms and conditions.
