The special flights will give passengers more options to travel home and visit their families during the festive season. The services will operate during the Durga Puja period and the travel rush that follows.
In a post on X, the airline said, “When the festival gets bigger, so should the network. SpiceJet is adding 22 special flights from October 10, strengthening connections to Kolkata and Bagdogra for the Durga Puja travel season. More connections to where the celebrations are.”

SpiceJet adds flights on key routes
The additional services will increase flight capacity on several routes connecting Kolkata and Bagdogra. SpiceJet will operate extra flights between Kolkata and Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, along with additional services between Kolkata and Bagdogra.
Passengers travelling through Bagdogra will also have more flight options to Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata during the festive period.
Mumbai-Port Blair flight via Kolkata
As part of the expanded network, SpiceJet will also operate a Mumbai-Port Blair connection via Kolkata. According to the airline, passengers travelling on this service will not have to change aircraft at Kolkata.

SpiceJet Chief Business Officer Debojo Maharshi said the additional services are intended to provide passengers with more travel options during the festive season, according to Zee Business.
“We are adding 22 special flights to give passengers more choice and make it easier to travel to Kolkata and Bagdogra during the festive season. The additional connectivity to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Port Blair will open up more options for passengers. We look forward to welcoming our passengers on board as they travel home to celebrate with their families,” he said.The special flights will begin operating from October 10 and will cover the Durga Puja travel period and the subsequent festive rush.
