The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and Wagely Bangladesh Limited recently signed a strategic partnership agreement to strengthen workforce development, financial well-being and sustainable productivity within the readymade garment (RMG) sector.

Both organisations will jointly implement a ‘Training the Trainers’ (TTT) programme designed to build factory-level training capacity and deliver financial literacy and soft skills training to nearly 50,000 RMG workers across select BGMEA member factories.

The initiative will initially engage 50 factories, where human resource professionals, trainers, line supervisors and factory representatives will be trained as certified trainers, enabling them to cascade knowledge within their own workplaces, a BGMEA release posted on Facebook said.
