In an advisory issued on Monday, the Embassy of India in Tehran said it was reiterating its earlier guidance in view of the latest developments in the region.
“In view of the latest developments in the region, the Embassy reiterates its earlier advice to all Indian Nationals to avoid any travel to Iran,” the embassy said.

The mission also asked Indians currently in Iran to leave the country. “Indian Nationals presently in Iran are also advised to exit the country by available means of transport,” it said.
The renewed advisory comes as tensions continue in the region. On Monday, Israel carried out airstrikes in central and western Iran following missile attacks launched from Iran.
Earlier, on April 7, India had advised its nationals in Iran to remain where they were for 48 hours as the security situation evolved.
According to official figures, around 9,000 Indians, including students, were in Iran when the conflict escalated. Nearly 1,800 Indian nationals have since returned to India.
