An old statement of Arjun Rampal has resurfaced on social media, which has left netizens shocked and disappointed. Recently, a Reddit user shared a screengrab of Rampal’s 2012 interview in which he had talked about getting intimate with Kareena Kapoor for Madhur Bhandarkar’s movie, Heroine.
In the interview with Hindustan Times, Rampal had said, “I enjoyed getting cosy with Bebo. I’m still cherishing shooting those love-making moments with her.”
Arjun Rampal’s Old Statement Shocks Netizens
Reacting to Arjun Rampal’s old statement, the Reddit user wrote, “This is so weird and unprofessional”. Soon after, several others also reacted to it and expressed disappointment. “Didn’t know that people were this comfortable objectifying back then,” one of the netizens wrote. “I think back then this was a promotional tactic to get people to come watch the movie – saying there is skin show,” added another. A third user called Arjun Rampal “cheap”.

Released in 2012, Heroine stars Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Randeep Hooda, Mugdha Godse and Divya Dutta among others in key roles. The film revolves around Mahi, an actress, who starts losing projects when her married boyfriend refuses to commit. This impacts her deeply. She slips into depression, which ultimately leads to her downfall.
