Life is full of unexpected twists and turns. One can never know what the next moment is going to bring you and everything can be gone and vice versa in the blink of an eye.

Today, we are going to talk about a similar story about an Indian actress who once made her living as a Yoga Instructor and later delivered a that grossed over Rs 2,400 crore at the box office. Can you guess the name?

Here, we are talking about South actress Anushka Shetty, who made her acting debut with the 2005 film Super.

Before she lit up the big screen, Anushka was a certified yoga instructor, trained under Bharat Thakur.

And, as we mentioned earlier, we never know what will happen next. Fate took a sudden turn when filmmaker Meher Ramesh noticed her during a yoga session and introduced her to director Puri Jagannath.

Following the meeting, Anushka was shortlisted for the role, alongside Nagarjuna, Sonu Sood and Ayesha Takia. While the film failed at the box office, Anushka’s performance stood out and she gained significant recognition for her role.

After that, she appeared in a number of notable South films like Mahanandi, Astram, Don, Arundhati, Billa, Khaleja and Lingaa, among others.

Her career breakthrough came after she portrayed the role of Devasena in SS Rajamouli’s 2015 magnum opus Baahubali: The Beginning, starring alongside Prabhas, Rana Daggubatti and Ramya Krishnan.

Starring as Devasena in the Baahubali franchise, Anushka not only gave a worldwide acclaimed performance but also became the face of strength, elegance, and rebellion in Indian cinema.

She was also a part of Baahubali: The Conclusion, released in 2017. Together, both the films minted over Rs 2,400 crore at the box office.

Interestingly, the franchise has again hit the theatres today, October 31, as a re-edited, 3-hour-45-minute version combining Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion.

Up next, Anushka will be seen in the period fantasy thriller, Kanathar- The Wild Sorcerer, alongside Jayasurya and Prabhu Deva.
